About Miguel's

Miguel's Mexican Restaurant has a long history in Downeast Maine. Opened in the '80's in Bar Harbor, the restaurant quickly became a local's favorite, with the slogan: "Mexican Food so authentic, you'll be afraid to drink the water." Back  then, chipotles, poblanos and cilantro were not commonly seen ingredients and the proprietors had to search out these then rare things. Today we follow the same principles of the founders- making our  guacamole and salsa fresh every day, buying local and organic whenever we can and using real Mexican ingredients to make real Mexican food.
